600 Guests Can Scare any Bride: GA Bride-to-be Fabricates Kidnap Story
It's time to think about the stress and pressure that a wedding can bring to the groom, bride-to-be and both sets of families. The Atlanta suburb nurse was reported mission during a jog. The whole country started focusing on the Duluth, GA area trying to locate her.
Well, Miss Willbanks was not kidnapped. She chose to have some time on her own. She wanted to clear her mind. She had personal issues she had to deal with. Where does that leave her groom? He was in an emotional roller coaster. After the well reported cases of Lacy Peterson and another couple, the whole country was bracing itself for the worse. Did the groom-to-be or fiance do it? He was submitted to polygraph tests which he passed. His three computers were seized to be analyzed. In the meantime, search centers were established. Teams of searchers were posting her pictures all over the town.
Apparently, her parents and fiance did not realize that the poor girl was under tremendous pressure. The huge wedding was scheduled for this week-end. More than 600 letters had been sent out. All of these preparations show the status of the family in the community. They are well connected. The search teams showed how many people showed up to find Jennifer.
By bus, she had traveled to New Mexico and cut her hair so as to not be recognized. In the meantime, her story was captivating everybody's attention. Major network programs such as the Today show, Good Morning America, CBS shows and cable networks continue to report the story. Jennifer Wilbanks was found thirsty and disoriented in New Mexico. Her friends think she had cold feet. She buckled under all this pressure.
It's not all over for the poor guy. If the wedding takes place, there will be questions as to why she did something like that. Since she was living with her fiance, people may wonder what type of guy he is. At least, her parents may not see him as the killer of their daughter. With Scott Peterson's recent conviction in the murder of his wife and child, nobody knows for sure anymore.
